To make your children's eyes light up and give them a thousand adventures, nothing beats an exciting day in Vezere Valley ! Let's go for a family outing...

Morning

Between Montignac-Lascaux and Les Eyzies on the left bank of the Vézère, the prehistoric site of Castel-Merle includes ten remarkable rock shelters and mediators-facilitators who help visitors understand prehistory in a fun way. Occupied by Neanderthals 85,000 years ago and then by Cro-Magnons 35,000 years ago, you can travel through time with your family near Sergeac.

For lunch, treat yourself to a gourmet break in the village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, listed as one of theMost Beautiful Villages of France" and nestled in a bend of the Vézère River. Suggested activity: take the opportunity to stroll through its narrow streets and discover its artisans.

Then it's off to a tree-top adventure course. From tree to tree, we get our fill of thrills at Préhistobranche and keep your eyes peeled: a castle or a troglodytic site will appear on the horizon.

The afternoon

We set off to see the descendants of prehistoric animals prehistoric times in real life! Bison, aurochs, wolves... They were painted by our ancestors and now appear before your children's amazed eyes.

Thanks to Parc du Thotin Thonac, discover the natural environment in which Cro-Magnon man lived. From painting his decorated cave to lighting fires and feeding wolves, the immersion is total.
